Apple trees usually take about 5 years to start bearing fruit. If the tree is especially small when it first bears, you might remove the fruit. mostly, they're big enough to hold the first few apples they produce the first year they manage it.
Former McIntosh commissioner Nathaniel Grover to report to jail Monday
DARIEN - Former McIntosh County Commissioner Nathaniel Grovner has until Monday to report to jail to resume serving his 60-day perjury sentence.
Senior Superior Court Judge James R. Tuten Jr. signed an order last week, which was received in the McIntosh County Clerk of Court’s Office Tuesday, instructing the sheriff to take Grovner to jail.
Ironically, church business will forestall his incarceration for lying under oath.
“He’s out of town this week. He’s in Nashville for some sort of church conference,’’ Sheriff Steve Jessup said. “If he doesn’t turn himself in Monday, I’ll send somebody to get him.”
